What is a dual fuel system?
To put it simply, it is an efficient air conditioning system that contains both an electric heat pump and a gas furnace. In Texas, there is both hot weather and cold weather. When the temperature is hot outside, an electric heat pump removes the hot air within your building in order to start the cooling process. An electric heat pump works well in this situation, but when the weather shifts it can become inefficient and costly. This is where the gas furnace comes into play. When the temperature drops, the furnace heats your house up via natural gas. This is low-cost and very effective. With a dual fuel system, you have an air conditioning system that heats your house, cools your house and saves you money.
